The Advisory Board is different from ASVA (Acupuncture Society of Virginia). 

The Advisory Board on Acupuncture assists the Board of Medicine in carrying out the provisions of this chapter regarding the qualifications, examination, licensure, and regulation of acupuncturists.

ASVA is the only non-profit professional organization representing the interests of Licensed Acupuncturists.

NCBAHM (formerly NCCAOM) will allow you to apply these volunteer hours to your CEU recertification hours.  

This is a great way to give back and make sure the future of Acupuncture in Virginia uplifts other Acupuncturists, the profession, and the public's access to this life-giving medicine.
