About the Event
In the last few decades, Tai Chi has strengthened its foundation as a recognized and effective supplement to healthcare within our modern healthcare system. Tai Chi classes can be found almost anywhere from hospitals to community centers and even within corporate wellness programs. Traditionally, this exercise and therapeutic art form was designed to be practiced in conjunction with acupuncture and oriental medicine to speed up the healing process and strengthen one's vitality. At this full-day workshop, practitioners and students can expect to learn the basics of how to use Tai Chi in a clinical setting, as well as how to evaluate patient progress in order to ensure positive treatment results. The workshop will focus on Tai Chi-based techniques used to evaluate range of motion, assess a patient’s mobility, improve posture, and enhance the effects of acupuncture and oriental medicine by understanding the relationship between Tai Chi movements and acupuncture meridians and points.
