Lonny Jarrett Acupuncture CEU Seminar Northern Virginia

Lonny Jarrett

Chinese Medicine in the 21st Century

Sat March 31st - Sun April 1st

14 PDAs approved NCCAOM

14 CEUs pending CA

What is the largest possible context for the practice of Chinese medicine in the 21st century? How will Chinese medicine help humanity to face the challenges that confront us today? What are the most significant imbalances of our time and how can Chinese medicine help?

The intention of my teaching is to give the student a core grounding in this inner tradition. Constitutional diagnosis will be examined as an organizing framework that yields deep insights into each patient's destiny and path of healing. The imagery contained in the acupuncture point names will be discussed as it relates to the points inner functions. We will cover the functional dynamics of the sheng and ke cycles to understand Chinese medicine as a fully holistic/integral science. Participation in this class is suitable for practitioners from any tradition and level of training who wish to deepen their perspective on their art.

Lonny Jarrett has been a leading scholar in the field of Chinese medicine since 1980.  He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a founding board member of the Acupuncture Society of Massachusetts.  He teaches and publishes widely on the inner tradition of Chinese medicine and Chinese pulse diagnosis.  Mr. Jarrett holds a Master’s degree in Neurobiology and maintains his clinical practice in Stockbridge, MA.  He is the author of Nourishing Destiny and The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine.  His articles and texts are available on the Web at www.spiritpathpress.com.  He is also the founder of an online professional community which can be found at www.nourishingdestiny.com.
