TCM Ophthalmology is a rapidly growing specialization in both the US and abroad. The demand is high for practitioners with specialized knowledge and methodology for treating ophthalmic conditions like Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Retinits Pigmetosa (RP), Glaucoma, and Diabetic Retinopathy.
This course provides quality information and tools that enable the practitioner to gain genuine confidence translatable to a clinical setting. At the completion of this course the student will have a greater understand and appreciation for Chinese Medical Ophthalmology, with the ability to develop treatment strategies for patients diagnosed with the main degenerative eye diseases and ophthalmic conditions.

Dr. Rosenfarb has been working in this field for over 15 years. He studied Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California, earning his Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine, and then continuing his post-graduate studies at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China.
Dr. Andy Rosenfarb, founder and clinical director of Acupuncture Health Associations in Westfield, NJ, is a world-renowned expert in the field of Chinese Medical Ophthalmology. Since 1997, he has been leading the field in integrated treatment methods that combine Traditional Chinese Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, and new cutting-edge therapies to help people suffering from debliating eye diseases to maintain and improve their eyesight. Drawing from his extensive training and clinical experience, Dr. Rosenfarb recently teamed with researchers at Johns Hopkins University to design the acupuncture protocol for the first-ever clinical study on the efficiency of treating Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) with acupuncture.
Dr. Rosenfarb is Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and is a founding member of the National Guild for Acupuncture. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM), and as an Executive Council Member of the Speciality Committee of Ophthalmology, of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine. He is the co-author of two books, Healing Your Eyes with Chinese Medicine and Ophthalmology in Chinese Medicine.
