2010-2011 Board of Directors
The Acupuncture Society of Virginia (ASVA) promotes
the practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine in the
Commonwealth of Virginia by:
-
upholding high professional ethics and standards by
monitoring and supporting legislation regarding professional
standards and public safety;
-
providing continuing education programs for licensed
acupuncturists;
-
educating the general public regarding the nature and
scope of acupuncture and oriental medicine;
-
supporting clinical research verifying the effectiveness
of acupuncture and oriental medicine; and
-
cooperating with national professional organizations.
